As part of our ongoing commitment to justice, equity, and community investment, we are proud to announce the Maxx Compensation Justice Scholarship — a $2,500 annual scholarship designed to support the next generation of leaders, advocates, and change-makers who share our passion for a fairer legal system.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Maxx Compensation Justice Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria at the time of application:
- Enrollment Status: Currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university within the United States. Incoming freshmen who have received and accepted an offer of admission for the Fall 2026 semester are also eligible.
- Academic Standing: Minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa (F-1 or J-1).
- Field of Study: Open to students in all academic disciplines. You do not need to be a law student or pre-law major to apply.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
There are no restrictions based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Employees and immediate family members of Maxx Compensation and its affiliated entities are not eligible.
Essay Topic
In 500 to 1,000 words, respond to the following prompt:
“How can the legal system better serve injury victims in underserved communities?”
We encourage you to draw on personal experiences, academic research, community observations, or professional insights. Strong essays will demonstrate critical thinking, a genuine understanding of the barriers faced by underserved communities in accessing legal remedies, and thoughtful, actionable ideas for reform.
Your essay should be original, written solely by you, and not previously published or submitted for another scholarship competition. Plagiarism of any kind will result in immediate disqualification.
How to Apply
Applications for the 2026 Maxx Compensation Justice Scholarship are now open. To apply, submit the following materials via email to scholarship@maxxcompensation.com with the subject line “Justice Scholarship Application — [Your Full Name]”:
- Completed Essay: Your 500–1,000 word response to the essay prompt above, submitted as a PDF or Word document (.pdf or .docx).
- Proof of Enrollment: A current enrollment verification letter from your institution’s registrar, or a copy of your class schedule for the current or upcoming semester.
- Unofficial Transcript: An unofficial academic transcript showing your cumulative GPA. Official transcripts are not required at the application stage.
- Brief Bio: A short paragraph (100–150 words) introducing yourself, your academic interests, and your career goals.
All application materials must be received by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on August 1, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. You will receive an email confirmation within five business days of submission acknowledging receipt of your application.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of legal professionals and community advocates assembled by Maxx Compensation. The selection committee will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
- Quality of Writing (40%): Clarity, organization, grammar, and overall writing ability.
- Depth of Analysis (30%): Demonstrated understanding of the challenges facing underserved communities within the legal system, supported by evidence, examples, or personal experience.
- Originality and Creativity (20%): Unique perspectives, innovative solutions, and creative approaches to the essay topic.
- Academic Achievement (10%): Cumulative GPA and academic record.
The scholarship winner will be notified via email on or before September 1, 2026. The $2,500 award will be disbursed directly to the winner’s accredited educational institution to be applied toward tuition, fees, books, or other qualified educational expenses for the Fall 2026 semester.
With the winner’s consent, their name, school, and a brief excerpt from their essay may be published on the Maxx Compensation website and social media channels to celebrate their achievement.

How is the winner selected, and who reviews the applications?
All applications are reviewed by an independent panel of legal professionals and community advocates assembled by Maxx Compensation. The panel evaluates each submission based on writing quality (40%), depth of analysis (30%), originality and creativity (20%), and academic achievement (10%). The review process is conducted blind — evaluators do not see applicants’ names or institutional affiliations during the initial scoring round.

How will the $2,500 be paid? Can I receive a direct payment?
The scholarship award of $2,500 is paid directly to the winner’s accredited educational institution. The funds will be applied to the student’s account for tuition, fees, books, or other qualified educational expenses for the Fall 2026 semester. We are unable to issue payments directly to individuals. This policy ensures the award is used for its intended educational purpose and complies with applicable tax and financial aid regulations.
Terms and Conditions
- The Maxx Compensation Justice Scholarship is sponsored by Maxx Compensation (maxxcompensation.com).
- One (1) scholarship of $2,500 will be awarded annually.
- By submitting an application, the applicant certifies that all information provided is true and accurate to the best of their knowledge. Misrepresentation of any kind will result in disqualification or revocation of the award.
- The essay submitted must be the original work of the applicant. Plagiarized submissions will be disqualified.
- By submitting an application, the applicant grants Maxx Compensation a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish their essay, name, and likeness for promotional purposes related to the scholarship program.
- The scholarship is non-transferable and may not be deferred to a future academic term.
- The winner must provide verification of enrollment at an accredited U.S. institution before the award is disbursed.
- Maxx Compensation reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the scholarship program at any time at its sole discretion.
- Applicants are responsible for any tax obligations arising from the receipt of the scholarship award. Maxx Compensation recommends consulting a tax professional regarding the tax implications of scholarship income.
